Thought I'd heard it all...
Jacko Watch: The Michael Jackson trial has been dragging on for a couple of weeks now and I find some of the things that are coming out about his lifestyle pretty interesting. In a "that's really weird" interesting way. In the newest story, the accuser's mother accused Jackson of licking her son's head during a plane flight to his Neverland Ranch. This week, the accuser's mother will be crossexamined by the prosecution who will try and discredit her previous testimony.
In my opinion MJ is certainly a strange individual. He is guilty of having an unhealthy emotional connection to children, especially for someone his age. I think he stopped short of physically molesting children though, even in the confines of his own home. He probably did serve children wine, or "Jesus Juice" as he called it, to gain favor with them and seem cool just like any other stupid adolescent would. Deep down I think he knows right from wrong and that to molest any child would be a bad thing. However, he is a very peculiar individual with eccentric tastes and probably shouldn't be around kids. I'm sure this won't be my last Jacko article because there will be another sideshow coming up.

Interesting article about hydration and running

I think Michael Jackson needs psychiatric help, but you're probably right. He's not a "child molester." Just really weird.
B.t.w. I read that article on hydration. I think it's pretty rare. It's much more common to dehydrate. It makes you feel like crap, and drains you of all energy on a run. I always have a fuel belt or water bottle with Propel. I take a sip or two every 20 minutes or so (every 10 halfway into longer runs). It makes me feel so much better. One time I forgot it and got real bad cottonmouth and started hallucinating drinking fountains. I kid you not!
I don't really agree with most of that article. I never read about hydration being bad. That is what I thought was interesting. I've seen runners and athletes with IV's in during races/games. And that H2O goes directly into the bloodstream.
My experience sounds similar to yours--if i'm not hydrated before a run then my muscles tend to cramp earlier and I don't feel as good afterwards. I don't run with any water.. then again for some reason I can't run with a walkman or headphones either.. I've tried but I just can't. Weird isn't it.
Let me clarify--make that NOT ~runners with IV's in but just athletes..Kind of tough to run with a needle in I would think.
I saw runner's lying on the ground with IVs in their arms and an ambulance next to them because they didn't hydrate. Yuck.
How can you run w/o music? I have a little MP3 player that clips onto my shorts. I forget it's even there.
